Standard JU.K-2.13: I know some true stories about how people have been treated badly because of their group identities, and I don’t like it 

Standard 2.W.5: With support, conduct short research on a topic. a. Find information on a topic of interest (e.g., cardinals). b. Identify various visual and text reference sources. c. Organize, summarize, and present the information, choosing from a variety of formats. 

Activity: Students will select a social justice movement or equality fight and then research it to write a small “book” on the topic. From this activity students will learn about social justice/equality and how to research and compile said research from different sources.
